Engelenbak (Big Red) V50104 |
From: Roland van Rijn: The name Engelenbak is a Dutch name used on my family's previous boats. The name means a boat full of angels. As a sailing family in the Netherlands, my dad, proud father of four daughters (his angels) and one son (me), found an old Rhine River supply boat that was in need of much tender loving care and that, with the needed changes, would make a great floating vacation home. His three oldest daughters were into sailing the lakes and canals of the Province of Friesland. Engelenbak was used as a central gathering point to meet for a sail, a beer, a meal, a place to sleep, etc., and more times than not, Engelenbak was the place for fun. |
